I decided to try this cleanser as I have very dry skin, and due to several eczema breakouts in the last couple of years, thought that a natural approach to all my skin/bath and body products without chemicals, would help. I have not used Lush before.
I ordered my 45g little black pot of Lush Ultrabland Cleanser over the phone with a handful of other products. .
I plunged my paws into my box of goodies and plucked out from the sea of popcorn, my little pot. (Products packed in popcorn, cool)
The first thing I noticed was the labelling, on the top it read - recommended by 100% of Lush staff - ok off to a good start, then looked a the bottom to see a label with a face on it, telling me that it was made by so and so on the date and a use by date, even better - it is fresh.
Ok, time to go in - a pale slightly honey scented thick cream, which amongst other ingredients found on their website, contains peanut oil and beeswax, reminiscent of an old style cold cream.
-How to Use-
They recommend that you plunge one of your paws in to get a blob and rub it in your palms, then smooth on to the face. To remove wet a cotton pad with some warm water and remove all cleanser thoroughly.
Due to my dry skin I do prefer to remove Ultrabland on my T-Zone like this, and for the rest of my face a dry cotton pad works for me.
-Power to Produce?-
Yes, indeed. I had until recently been using cleansing wipes to whisk around my chops at breakneck speed, due to never enough time in the day, attitude that that has crept up on me. This cleanser has thankfully slowed me down, and actually given me back a very old phrase, it's called -A Beauty Regime- the time old ritual of taking care of my skin. Ultrabland is a very oily thick cream and my very dry (sensitive) skin adores it, due to all the natural ingredients you can use it around the eye area, especially when you need to remove waterproof mascara.
-My View-
Would I recommend it? Well, I am 100% with the Lush staff on this one.
Its cleans, cleanses, moisturises and really softens your skin to make it smoother.
Another little black pot of Ultrabland joy will certainly adorn it's self on my bathroom shelf.
