My Little Pot Of The Seaside Lush Ocean Salt Facial Scrub

Fresh Handmade Cosmetics - Tested On Human Volunteers - Not Animals

120g Pot
250g Pot

I decided to try this Facial Scrub as I have very dry skin, and due to several eczema breakouts in the last couple of years, thought that a natural approach to all my skin/bath and body products without chemicals, would help.
I ordered my 120g black pot of Ocean Salt over the phone with a large handful of other products. (No Lush Store in our town)
I plunged my paws in my box of goodies and plucked out from the sea of popcorn, my pot. (Products packed in popcorn, cool)
This product as with many other products from Lush, has a label on the bottom of the pot, and this tells you who made it, the date it was made and the expiry date.
Ok, time to go in again - ooh this one looks interesting, a thick pale turquoise cream with little bright turquoise chunks of course sea salt on top, looks like a strange ice cream . My twitchy little nose aimed straight in, sweet and refreshing. I cannot quite put my paws on it. It contains lemon, grapefruit and lime juices, fresh avocado butter and coconut butter fat (That's it, sea salt & seaweed, oh the smell of the sea) amongst other ingredients found on their website.

-How to Use-

The first time the pot is opened I recommend you give the pot a jolly good stir with a suitable implement to mix the crystals.(I used a teaspoon which was not such a good idea, as I have a nasty habit of licking spoons. But to my surprise it actually tasted very nice, this part is NOT recommended!)
There are no usage instructions for this one, but it is not rocket science, wet your face with warm water, plunge one of your paws in to get a decent blob and smooth it over your face, I avoid my eyes. Give your face a gentle rub, beware, the sea salt crystals are very abrasive, but that's the point. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a nice fluffy towel. I like to use this scrub in between my new Lush 1-2-3 regime: Ultrabland cleanser, A Breath Of Fresh Air toner and Imperialis moisturiser. Clinique has been given the first red card of the season.

-Power to Produce?-

Yes, indeed another one that delivers. Lush recommend if you have oily skin use daily, for dry skin use weekly as this will give your face a mineral boost. I like to use it twice a week even with sensitive skin it really cleanses well, you get a lovely clean gentle scrubbed feeling. Once my skin is dry, it feels wonderfully moisturised and soft, this is probably the violet leaf absolute that is known to calm skin. Make the most of this scrub and try it out where you want, I have red patches on my left elbow, an ex-eczema area, a gentle rub with Ocean Salt in the bath/shower has started to reduce the itchiness, so no need to use as much of my prescription cream Eumovate. ( a very nasty member of the steroid family)and cheaper.

-My View-

Would I recommend it?
Definitely Yes.
Due to my skin condition I have become very careful (bordering obsessive) about what I use. A 120g, it does last a long time, it really depends how often you use it. Ocean Salt cleanses refreshes, moisturises, softens and calms your skin, not something that you would normally expect from a scrub, what a great way to get mineralised. Hopefully, in time the Eumovate will be given the red card and join Clinique on the bench.(front paws and hind paws crossed)
