Imperialis Moisturiser
45g Pot

I decided to try this Moisturiser as I have very dry skin, and due to several eczema breakouts, and thought a chemical free approach would, help.
This product as with many other products from Lush, has a label on the bottom of the pot, and this tells you who made it, the date it was made and the expiry date.
Ok, time to go in again, third time lucky? - open with caution - a quite pale pink coloured lotion in a pot? My twitchy little nose zoomed in to a sweet Lavenderish aroma. It contains Lavender, Orange Flower Water, Tiger Lillies, whipped up with oils and butters amongst other ingredients found on their website.

-How to Use-

The first time the pot is opened I recommend, you open with caution, as this is a lotion not a cream as I expected. Apply to to your face and gently rub into the skin.
This moisturiser is part of my new Lush 1-2-3 regime: Ultrabland cleanser, A Breath Of Fresh Air toner.
I got the idea from using a combination of my now red carded 1-2-3 Clinique range and www.lush.com USA website, where in their Gift Section, sell a Fresh Face Starter Kit. (I do not think that Lush UK sells this)
The kit contains:
1.Ultrabland cleanser
2.Breath Of Fresh Air toner
3.Skin's Shangri La moisturiser
(Substituted by Imperialis moisturiser)

-Performance-

Once the ritual pot opening is complete, I popped a hesitant paw in to the lotion, be quick because it runs off your paws and smoothed it over my face. Mmmm, this lotion is very light, my normal morning Clinique and night-time Astral are definitely thicker than this. The lotion was absorbed at the speed of Lewis Hamiltons' McLaren, which my skin is not used to, as it is used to moisturisers that are sluggish and slimey. Ok, so slowly, slowly catch a bunni. That evening, the ritual of the pot opening now mastered, tried again, smoothed a small amount over my T-Zone and and used a little more on the rest of my face & neck, ensuring it was very well rubbed in. The next day to my surprise my skin did not feel very moisturised ( because, I used thick sluggish grease type moisturisers), but it felt soft, balanced and conditioned, my complexion was starting to look great. It does seem that over time this Imperialis moisturiser improves the texture and feel of my sensitive chops.

-Power to Produce?-

Yes, indeed yet another one that delivers. To encourage dry skin to produce more natural oils they use Lavender which also discourages oily skin, to tone the skin: Orange Flower Water, to soothe irritations: St.Johns Wort, No wonder they call it a Majestic Moisturiser”.
I have always put my make up on straight after moisturising, this moisturiser really works to it's max if you leave it a while whilst you get dressed to impress.

-My View-

Would I recommend it?
Yes, for daytime with or without make up, as I use Ultrabland cleanser at night, therefore there is no need to moisturise, that's a first.
45g pot. Well, to be quite honest, compared to other thicker creams it's good value for my problem skin. I can see this lasting for some time.
Another little pot of joy to join the others on my bathroom shelf, my red card bench is now filling up, Clinique was the first to go and now Astral has joined.
Overall Imperialis does not make me feel very fluffy, but I sure am a Happy Bunni.
